Dive And Trek Daytrip - May 13, 2007
Someone invited me for a weekend trip. So I planned all possible options. The target was somewhere near Manila. Therefore, the possible place was Quezon and Batangas. At the very last minute, this person backed-out.
This left me frustrated and disappointed. All my planning and research goes to trash.
That night May 12, 2007, Saturday, I was brewing up for a plan. It was a sort of "gate-crasher" plan. Since I am very curious of Dive And Trek, I made this my target. My original plan was to use my car. But with all that lengthy travel, it makes me tired already just thinking about it. And with the gas it will eat up, it would be expensive (maybe around 2,000 pesos). It is at this point that I decided that I will commute.
So come May 13, 2007, I woke up 4am. It is only at this time that I told my mother about my abrupt plan. At 4:30 am I was already waiting for any first vehicle that will pass my way. So my tendency was always to grab first chance of ride. Here's an outline of my getting there at Anilao Pier.
04:30 am Waiting for the first vehicle to pass by
04:40 - 05:10 am Travel by mini-bus. Anabu Imus - Palapala Dasmarinas, Cavite = PHP 10.00
05:10 - 05:20 am Waiting the van to be filled up.
05:20 - 06:50 am Van. Palapala - Manghinao, Bauan = PHP 120.00
06:50 - 06:55 am Waiting for jeep
06:55 - 08:00 am Jeep. Manghinao - Anilao Pier = PHP 15.00
At this time, I called Dive and Trek. Since I am just alone, it was easy for them to fit me on their daytour package. But the problem was that there was no scheduled trip on their Anilao Parking. To make the story short, I have to pay the special boat trip for PHP 500. I think this is a good deal. Why? Because: 1) They will fetch me at Anilao Pier and not in Rainbow Beach (in which I have to ride a tricycle special trip I think), 2) If I took my car, I would have spent more than 500 pesos already for the gasoline. 3) Only afterward that they returned me back at Anilao Pier (not a usual thing for them).
I took my breakfast there at a carinderia in Anilao Pier (PHP 35.00). I bought a 1L bottled water (PHP 20.00), some variety of breads from the bakery (PHP 20.00), and an overpriced 1kg banana lacatan (PHP 40.00). I realized afterward that I should not have bought those foods, because the food at Dive and Trek are enough already. Only the bread has it worth, because I used this in my fish feeding. The snorkeling daytour package at Dive And Trek costs PHP 1,100. Fins rental is at PHP 75.00.

While I was waiting for my boat, I took the chance to explore the place - Anilao Pier.
The parking here I believe is free. You just have to give some tip.
There is the Mabini Tourism Office.
There are Ferry Boats going to Tingloy. Fare = PHP 60.00. It travels 3x a day in morning only. The boats from Tingloy travels in the morning also. Therefore, a daytour in Tingloy is not possible. Either take an overnight there (like staying at Olympic Point Resort) or rent a boat (PHP 3,000-3,500) going there for the daytour.
When the boat arrived, I took pictures of the surrounding area.
When the boat departed, I took pictures of the coves from Anilao Pier to Dive and Trek.

The first cove is the location of Aguila Beach Resort and other nearby small picnic resorts.
The second cove is the location of Sampaguita Beach Resort and Punto Fuego Resort.
The third cove is the location of Baranggay Locloc. Some locals rode with me (for free I think) alighted at the Locloc beach. I was able to get a close-up shot of the beach.
The fourth cove is the location of Dive and Trek Resort and Binokbok Viewpoint Resort. If I will continue, the fifth cove would be the Portulano Resort (I have been there before).
Here is the Dive and Trek Resort.
Here is the food - the buffet lunch.
I believe coffee and water here is unlimited.
And the highlight of all, here is the underwater of the famous Dive and Trek. So far, this is the best snorkeling I had. So many fishes and beautiful corals… And this place is just near Manila and possible for daytrips!

Beside Dive And Trek Resort, there's this small resort called Binokbok Viewpoint Resort. This is for sale. In here, I took some experimental shots.
At the 3pm, I started to clean and fix myself. At 4pm, this was the last trip of the boat ferry. The boat dropped me at Anilao pier. From Anilao Pier, I rode a jeep to Bauan. The jeep ride was slow, you have to be patient. At Bauan Town center, the traffic was heavy. From Bauan, I rode a van heading to Dasmarinas Cavite. My travel back to Cavite took a long time because of the heavy traffic at Mendez Crossing. I was at my house in Imus Cavite at 8pm.
I was proud that my daytrip was successful. My total expenses was at around PHP 2,000.
